Brasher’s remarkable journey as an artist and naturalist is one of dedication and passion, showcasing a lifelong commitment to observing America’s diverse bird species in their natural habitats.

From a young age, Brasher traveled extensively, documenting his encounters with birds through detailed notes, insightful descriptions, and captivating drawings. After decades of hard work, he was finally satisfied with his paintings by the late 1920s. Unhappy with the printing options of his time, he hand-colored all 87,000 pages of nearly 100 sets of his monumental work, The Birds and Trees of North America, which he completed in 1932.

In this limited edition, we have carefully reproduced six of Brasher's vibrant illustrations across two distinct 3-Packs of Field Notes Ruled Memo Books. Each book features a felt-textured cover made from 100#C Mohawk Via “Pure White,” bound with three stainless steel staples, while the inside pages are crafted from 60#T Domtar Lynx Opaque Ultra, ruled with pale gray lines for easy note-taking.
